As a result of increasing use of microprocessor and digital components in electrical products, USA retailers and buyers are increasingly requiring the FCC regulations to be followed and demonstrated for their supply of electrical products.

In the USA, the FCC is one of the regulatory agencies that enforces regulatory requirements for the electrical products that you supply. While it is rare, the FCC has the ability to enforce their regulatory requirements.

Bureau Veritas recently interviewed Kathryn Berthot, Deputy Chief of the Enforcement division to inquire about the source of these recent notices and citations. Ms. Berthot indicated, “Either consumers or competitors are identifying these situations to the department.”

Many retailers and buyers of electrical equipment require independent demonstration that all electrical products meet the appropriate FCC requirements.
