Our Services
Service Category
Description
Training
Bespoke training: Available covering all aspects of compliance for wind / solar and fuel cell renewable energy suppliers (whole system, inverter, back-up system, controller, etc…)
Compliance Assistance
International Approvals: From market research advising of target market requirements to full homologation services ensuring fast and effective compliance for all your renewable energy products
Compliance Assistance
Warranty/Life Testing / Failure Analysis: Services to protect against product failure which can be expensive. Not only does it cost to replace or repair a damaged product but harm can also be done to brand image.
Testing and Analysis
Regulatory EMC & Safety Testing: against European, USA and other target country requirements
International: IEC 60950, draft IEC62109, IEC62103, IEC60439, IEC60335-2-29
Europe: EN50178, EN 60950, EN60204, EN50091
North America: UL1741, CSA22.2-107, UL508, UL1310
Testing and Analysis
Grid Protection Testing: We are uniquely accredited and appointed to provide inverter testing against all key national grid requirements. Standards we are recognized to test against and accredited for include VDE 0126-1-1 (German standard but also the basis for many other countries including France), UL 1741 (USA), DK 5940 (Italy), RD 1663 (Spain), G83/1 (UK), AS 47777.x (Australia), and many more besides. Testing against these requirements is all available from a single test and certification center saving sometimes months in time and many tens of thousands in money.
Testing and Analysis
Environmental/Performance Testing: We can provide full testing for solar panels against IEC 61215 for crystalline silicon panels and IEC 61646 for thin film panels as well as a full range of Environmental Simulation / Performance testing (Mechanical / Climatic / HALT/HASS)
Certification
GS certification: Certification against GS requirements for inverters
Certification
NRTL certification: Certification against US requirements
Certification
PV Gap certification: Through our IECEE CB Scheme FCS appointment, we can provide quick access to the PV GAP mark for solar panel manufacturers.
Inspection, Audit & Assessment
Pre-Shipment Inspection: Available for all components within a Green Energy system, with particular expertise in the area of solar panels.
Demand for green energy has grown substantially in the past few years, driven mainly by rising conventional energy costs, increased realisation of environmental protection and political support. Green Energy effectively utilizes natural resources such as:
Sunlight (Solar Power)
Wind (Wind Power)
Water (Hydroelectricity)
Hydrogen and Oxygen (Fuel Cells)
Geothermal heat, and,
Biofuels
In 2006, the International Energy Association (http://www.iea.org) estimated that about 13 percent of primary energy comes from renewables with modern technologies like geothermal, wind, solar, and marine energy together producing less than 1% of total world energy demand.
However, the technical potential for their use is very large, exceeding all other readily available sources. And with targets such as the EU leaders reaching agreement in principle in March 2007 that 20 percent of the bloc's energy should be produced from renewable fuels by 2020, as part of its drive to cut emissions of carbon dioxide, blamed in part for global warming, these technologies are only set to grow and grow.
The Green Energy market is growing for many forms of renewable energy. Globally, wind power generation more than quadrupled between 2000 and 2006; the global photovoltaic (PV) revenue is likely to almost triple from 2006 to 2009 and the global PV market has been growing at more than 40% for the past couple of years and is expected to continue.
Wind power has a worldwide installed capacity of 74,223 MW and is widely used in several European countries and the USA.
The manufacturing output of the photovoltaics industry reached more than 2,000 MW per year in 2006, and
World solar photovoltaic (PV) market installations reached a record high of 1,744 megawatts (MW) in 2006, representing growth of 19% over the previous year.
