Acquires Electrical Testing Laboratory, Advance Data Technology
TAIPEI, TAIWAN and BUFFALO, NY USA – January 2006 - Bureau Veritas Electrical, a world leader in electrical product testing, inspection, and auditing services is pleased to announce the acquisition of Taiwan-based Advance Data Technology (ADT), an industry leader providing testing and certification services for a wide range of electrical and electronic products. ADT, which is based in Taipei, Taiwan, is the second acquisition in the electrical and electronic market made by Bureau Veritas Electrical in the past six months.
The acquisition demonstrates Bureau Veritas Electrical's commitment to expand and enhance its services for clients designing, manufacturing, sourcing and selling electrical and electronic products for the US, European and Asian markets. The purchase of ADT increases the presence and capabilities of BVCPS’ electrical and electronic services in Asia, and complements its existing capabilities in the US and Europe. Established in 1988, ADT offers a wide range of testing services and certifications in the areas of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility), Product Safety (CE, GS, UL,NRTL), Telecom (GSM, SAR, Telephone Terminal Equipment), and Radio (Wi-Fi). ADT also provides clients with comprehensive services to obtain certificates and approvals from major agencies to market their products globally. This service is well established and covers over 60 countries currently.
As part of Bureau Veritas Electrical, ADT customers will gain enhanced access to worldwide conformity assessment and quality services.
