Bureau Veritas ADT and Allion host WiFi Alliance 802.11n Task Group (TGn) Compatibility Test Event

22 January 2007 - Taoyuan, Taiwan - The Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) 802.11n Task Group (TGn) Compatibility Test Event is being hosted by Bureau Veritas ADT & Allion in Taiwan between January 22nd and January 26th 2007. All WFA members are welcomed. The TGn Compatibility Test event is being held (under ITRI guidance) at Bureau Veritas ADT’s headquarters and world class lab facility in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The purpose of the event is to provide an independent facility for WFA members to gather together and test their latest TGn developments and products with other member’s products to ensure compatibility.

While no specific test plan or agenda is set for this type of event, WFA member attendees are invited to use the latest DRAFT TGn Test Plan (available through the Kavi groups web pages under the TGn Technical Task Group section - https://groups.wi-fi.org/home/ - member access is required) as the basis for setting their own test plan and goals for this event. Staff members from Bureau Veritas ADT, Allion, and the WFA are in attendance to help coordinate the event and provide expert support for attendee’s interoperability and compatibility testing needs.

This is the first such event to be held in Taiwan and it is expected to draw attendees from WFA member companies from all over the Asian region. By attending the event, WFA members will be able to check the latest status of their products with other member’s products ensuring they can be ready for the launch of the Baseline TGn Certification Program in June 2007.
